Job Description We are seeking a Distribution Designer to join our
team in North Carolina. This role involves supporting power
distribution infrastructure upgrades and storm hardening projects
across North Carolina. The work includes engineering calculations
and design for replacing deteriorating cables, moving overhead
lines underground, reconductoring existing distribution lines, and
replacing aging poles. You will perform structural analysis of
poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, fault currents, and
coordinate protective devices. Responsibilities Conduct engineering
calculations and designs for power distribution infrastructure
upgrades. Perform structural analysis of poles and associated
components. Execute cable pulling calculations and reconductoring
of existing distribution lines. Coordinate protective devices and
evaluate electric demand and fault currents. Collaborate with teams
to move overhead lines underground and replace aging poles.
Essential Skills Open to entry level candidates with related
education. Understanding of primary and secondary distribution
systems, utility standards, and construction knowledge. Strong
written and oral communication skills. Ability to work with
individuals from diverse backgrounds. Additional Skills &
Qualifications Experience interacting with customers and developers
for distribution projects. Current knowledge of relevant design
software packages. Passed Engineering Fundamentals Exam (EIT). Work
Environment The position is based near downtown with easy access.
The power group consists of 40 people within a total office of over
100 employees. The office recently moved into a new, beautiful
space. A hybrid work schedule is available after 1-3 months of
development, allowing work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Enjoy

and a supportive team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to
Hire position based out of Wilmington, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay
range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility
