Job Description Job Description We are seeking qualified
candidates with bachelor's degree in the field of mental health
services that are interested in joining our Residential Group Home
team as a Direct Support Professional in Wilmington, Delaware and
Newark, Delaware. Work Schedules Full time 40 hours per week Part
time 16 hours 2-day workweek Hire requirements include new hire
orientation first five (5) day workweek Mon-Fri and schedule day
shift at our Philadelphia location, no parking concerns, and
mileage reimbursement. The Direct Support Professional /
Residential Associate Clinician will provide coordination and
guidance, counseling, and encouragement to participants as they
transition from residential services to a more independent
environment. The Residential Associate Clinician will also
implement and document participant’s progress in accordance with
individualized rehabilitation plans and ensure a safe, healthy and
secure environment which promotes growth and development. Some
additional responsibilities would include the following: Complete
the initial and annual participant assessments and develop the
participant’s recovery plan from a person-centered perspective.
Assist with the presentation in case conference for assigned
participants. Responsible for the care and maintenance of case
records for all assigned participants. Act as a liaison and consult
with community agencies and families to maintain coordination in
the recovery process. Provide ongoing assessment of participant’s
mental illness symptoms and their responses to recovery to ensure
that immediate and appropriate interventions are provided.
Participate in staff planning, training and internal/external
administrative meetings. Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in
counseling, psychology, social work, nursing, rehabilitation,
education or other mental health field from an accredited college
or university. Direct experience in mental health services with
emphasis on direct care in a community-based setting. Ability to
work independently and to exercise initiative. Good communication
skills both oral and written. Possess a valid driver’s license with
an acceptable driving record. Scope: Requires the ability to lift,
carry, fold, bend, kneel, stack, stoop, which includes direct
intervention with participants. Frequent talking and listening.
Ability to climb and descend stairs. Possess manual dexterity and
fine motor skills. Requires crisis intervention in emergency
situations. May be required to report to work during emergencies
