Job Description:
A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter responsible for
evaluating mortgage loans for compliance with standards and
regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite residential mortgage loans according to product and
investor guidelines
Ensure compliance with investor requirements, federal and state
laws
Perform risk assessments of credit and collateral to maintain loan
saleability
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree or 2 years of relevant experience
Three years of mortgage processing or underwriting experience
Understanding of investor guidelines and ability to interpret AUS
findings
Knowledge of federal registration requirements under the SAFE
Act
Experience in resolving post-closing issues related to loan
saleability
