Hotel Revenue Analyst

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, the Hotel Revenue Analyst develops, interprets, and implements complex financial and analytical concepts and techniques for financial planning and control. The Hotel Revenue Analyst assists management with the interpretation, evaluation, and interrelationship of hotel revenue data, and generates integrated business analysis and projections to facilitate decision-making for the Hotel's revenue in order for optimization and maximization of revenue.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Prepares monthly statistical reports of the performance of revenue centers, reviewing P&L statements and reports on and tracking department-specific Key Performance Indicators. Researches, documents, analyzes, and reports all relevant financial information regarding operation of these business units. Maintains and supports databases that collect information for revenue protection and missed revenue opportunities.

  2. Conducts special studies to analyze complex financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control, and action. Conducts financial, market, operational, and related research to support strategic and business planning within the department as directed by the Director of Revenue Management. Creates and develops pricing strategies in conjunction with offers and special events, and in accordance with enterprise objectives. Ensures alignment with Strategic Marketing, Player Development and Financial Planning & Analysis.

  3. Develops financial forecast models and pro formas for existing and proposed revenue and cost centers.

  4. Partners with management in operating departments to develop, evaluate, and revise methodologies for measuring and forecasting performance. Tracks and analyzes missed revenue opportunities. Audits standards and operations of reservations in partnership with Finance and FP&A, and implements revenue management procedures and best practices.

  5. Annually prepares revenue and expense forecasts for business units, projecting the expected performance of specific KPIs as defined by strategies and goals determined by executive management. Creates and maintains a thirteen-month rolling demand calendar in partnership with additional departments to ensure alignment with strategic business plans.

  6. Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient operation of Department.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field required, or five years of related Hotel/Resort/Casino revenue analytics experience required.
  • Two (2) years' of related experience analyzing data, using reporting tools, and database functionality required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience working with relational databases and enterprise reporting tools is required.
  • Experience performing management analysis in a large scale organization is required.
  • Employee must have experience demonstrating the utmost discretion and confidentiality as team member will have access to confidential information including, but not limited to: Social Security numbers, customer contact information, customer financial data, and organizational financial data.


  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • A qualified candidate/employee must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the enterprise's insurance carrier.
