As a Border Patrol Agent for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a key branch of the Department of Homeland Security, you play a critical role in safeguarding national security. You will be on the front lines to prevent terrorism, enhance security, and ensure the efficient management of cross-border traffic. Working in diverse environments, from deserts to waterfronts, Border Patrol Agents are essential in upholding the integrity of U.S. borders. Detect and prevent the illegal entry of individuals into the United States Interdict drug smuggling and enforce import and export laws Conduct patrols on foot, by vehicle, or by aircraft Use advanced surveillance and tracking technology to monitor border activities Respond to electronic sensor alarms and infrared scope systems Prepare comprehensive reports of daily activities and encountered incidents Work collaboratively with other law enforcement teams on security operations Ability to make rapid decisions and take sound actions in high-pressure situations Proficiency in using law enforcement tools and weapons Strong communication and interpersonal skills Analytical skills with a keen eye for details Physical fitness to handle duties in challenging terrains Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are highly beneficial Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Successful completion of the CBP Border Patrol training program; a valid U.S. driver's license is required.
