  • The Registered Nurse delivers professional nursing care to patients ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex needs.
  • Establishes a helping relationship using a holistic approach.
  • Ensures quality and appropriateness of care for all age groups including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
  • Performs consistently to meet or exceed expectations with necessary education, training, and relevant experience.

    • Operates in Operating Room (OR) setting
    • Provides care to a diverse patient population including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
    • Assists in surgical operations and related procedures
      • Additional Details
      • Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups.
      • Ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret information to identify patient needs according to age.
      • Performs accurate patient assessments per physician instructions and facility policies.
      • Identifies changes in patient condition and notifies physician appropriately.
      • Ability to identify nursing diagnosis specific to each patient.
      • Knowledge of medical diagnosis and disease manifestations including clinical and laboratory data interpretation.
      • Develops unique patient care plans including patient and family involvement.
      • Monitors and evaluates patient outcomes and modifies care plans accordingly.
      • Provides direct patient care and carries out physician orders.
      • Assists physicians in treatments, medical examinations, diagnostic tests, and surgical operations as appropriate.
      • Administers prescribed treatments and medications, controls narcotics.
      • Ability to start, prepare, implement, monitor, and discontinue IV fluids as ordered.
      • Evaluates patient responses to care and therapies including lab results and physical assessments.
      • Participates in unit-specific quality assurance and performance improvement projects.
      • Documents nursing care accurately, objectively, legibly, and timely.
      • Ensures physician orders are acknowledged by end of shift and resolves complex order issues with Charge Nurse.
      • Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
      • Supports effective communication, patient safety, Just Culture, and ethical practices.
