Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Director of Information Technology is a strategic and hands-on
leadership role responsible for the oversight, development, and
continuous improvement of the Museum's IT infrastructure,
cybersecurity, software and hardware management, enterprise
applications, user support and technology strategy. Reporting to
the Chief Financial Officer, this role blends operational
excellence with forward-looking planning to support the Museum's
mission and enhance the visitor experience. The Director will
ensure reliable, secure, and sustainable systems across all
departments.Compensation & Benefits: Salary - $120,000 - $160,000
year, commensurate with education/experience. Medical, dental,
vision, legal, and life/LTD insurance. 403(b) retirement plan
matching 100% of the employee contribution up to 6%, with immediate
vesting. 15 vacation days, 10 days of accrued paid sick days per

ParkingKey Success Factors:System Reliability & Performance: Ensure
high availability, uptime, and scalability of all systems through
proactive monitoring, regular maintenance, and efficient IT service
delivery.
Strategic Technology Planning: Align IT initiatives with
organizational goals by identifying emerging technologies
Cybersecurity & Risk Management: Enforce cybersecurity best
practices, conduct regular risk assessments, and ensure data
privacy and regulatory compliance.
Enterprise Applications Oversight: Management of software solutions
including CRM, ticketing, donor management, and content management
systems.
Security Systems Management: Oversight of the museum's video
surveillance security technologies.
Budget & Resource Optimization: Develop and manage IT budgets;
optimize procurement through vendor negotiation, nonprofit
licensing, and cloud-based tools.
End-User Support & Training: Foster a service-oriented IT culture
by ensuring responsive support, onboarding resources.Primary

Skills/Abilities
Certifications (preferred):CISSP, CISM - cybersecurity
Microsoft Azure or Office 365 Admin
Network+ or CCNAWorking Conditions:On-site position aboard the USS
Midway Museum, with work performed in a restored shipboard office
environment. Weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, lift small equipment, and
navigate historic shipboard spaces.
Standard office equipment and computing devices used daily.
