Situated on the ancestral homeland of the Tongva Peoples, Chaffey
College is one of the oldest community colleges in California and
serves a variety of communities, workforce partners, and students.
While other community colleges are often named after their
geographic area, Chaffey College is named after local innovator,
George Chaffey, who, among other things, implemented street lights

Chaffey College celebrates the diverse communities we serve. As a
federally recognized Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Chaffey's
student population includes over 64% identifying as Latinx, 13%
White, 7% African-American/Black, 6% Asian, multi-racial/other (5%)
and smaller percentages of Filipino and Pacific Islanders (2%),
Native American (0.40%), or decline to state (2.6%). Furthermore,
40% of our students are first-generation college students, and
approximately 62% of students are eligible for some form of
financial aid. The current student population identifies as 59%
female and 38% male with approximately 3% who either decline to
state or identify as nonbinary. Approximately 5% of Chaffey's
students utilize Disabled Programs and Services for support. To
support the diverse needs of these populations and their
intersections, the College has developed a variety of robust

Center for Culture and Social Justice, Panther Care, Rising
Scholars, PRISM, Puente Project, UMOJA, EOPS/CARE, Disabled
Programs and Services, and CalWORKs.
Under direction, responsible for holistically serving students
through the following areas and responsibilities: serving as the
manager for the Admissions and Records Department as well as
provide administrative oversight to the areas of Financial Aid,
Student Health Services, Mental Health Services and the Behavior
Intervention Team. Additionally, this position will lead and
conduct Student Discipline and Grade Grievances processes for the
college.
Responsibilities
Provide organizational leadership, planning and support to the
assigned areas to meet the objectives of the programs and the
college.
Serve as the District's Title IX officer.
Coordinate work and supervise all aspects of the assigned programs
and services of the unit including, but not limited to, strategic
planning, budget development, program evaluation, and
compliance.
Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and Records and staff
to create a welcoming gateway to the college, regardless of
location or means of delivery through effective practices,
commitment to quality student service and achievement of the
mission of the institution.
Collaborate with the Director of Financial Aid to ensure compliance
and consistency regarding administration and disbursement of
federal, state and institutional financial assistance; provide
additional oversight for specialized programs including Cal Grant,
Direct Loans, Return to Title IV funding, Pell, SEOG, Cal Grants
and ACG Grants; oversee the development of internal office
deadlines including file processing and awarding deadlines and
disbursement dates per the college academic calendar.
Be knowledgeable with Veterans Affairs regulations, policies and
procedures for students applying to use veterans' educational
benefits.
Oversee FTES data monitoring, accuracy, integrity and reporting
through compliance with attendance accounting methods and structure
of the curricula; ensure compliance with state and federal
laws/regulations and district policies concerning student
attendance, admissions, grading, census, withdrawal, and drop
processes, student fees, records, credit, student petitions,
student privacy and other related matters; provide up-to-date
procedures for academic and attendance accounting regulations to
faculty; ensure collection of faculty data according to prescribed
deadlines.
Coordinate internal and external audits with District's auditor to
ensure 100% compliance with registration, residency, concurrent
enrollment, and student accounts.
Oversee both Mental Health Services and Student Health Services;
ensure the development and implementation of programming, policies,
and procedures in support of the college's goals; comply with state
and federal mandates, and evaluate program effectiveness.
Coordinate, supervise, address, and evaluate student behavior and
conduct issues, and student complaints and grievances.
Oversee the establishment and training of hearing panels and assure
the adjudication of student code of conduct violations for students
at all three campuses.
Provide administrative oversight and leadership to the college's
Behavior Intervention Team (BIT).
Develop and implement mental health partnerships for students at
the college, increase accessibility to service providers, and
ensure mental health offerings for all students.
Participate in the hiring of classified staff; supervise classified
staff as appropriate.
Advise students in academic, career, and personal success
strategies.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree.
One (1) year of formal training, internship, or leadership
experience reasonably related to the administrative assignment.
Knowledge and Experience of Title IV, V and IX.
Knowledge of:Current practices in the organization and facilitation
of student discipline and grievance process in community
colleges.
Current practices in the organization and facilitation of
Admissions and Records and Financial Aid departments.
Theories and practices to facilitate student health and mental
health in campus life.
Ability to: Work with students, faculty, and staff to plan,
develop, and implement student programs.
Evaluate needs, present recommendations, and make oral and written
presentations.
Work effectively in meeting educational and cultural needs of
citizens with widely diverse backgrounds, abilities, interests, and
goals.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with
students, faculty, staff, and others contacted in the course of
performing assigned duties, and to supervise staff.
Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the
diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender
identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community
college environment.

Demonstrated experience implementing equity and access for

Experience with supervision, budgeting, and program
coordination.
Experience leading Behavior Intervention Teams and grade grievance
processes.
Additional Information
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Positions in this classification may be required to work varied
hours according to need. Evening and weekend hours are
required.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a full-time, 12-month management position, Range 32 of the
Management Personnel Plan. Effective date of employment will be as
soon as a successful candidate is selected and a mutually agreed
upon date is determined. Excellent benefits include: health care,

Being able and ready to work onsite at a Chaffey facility or
