Job Description Job Description Position Summary The Kitchen
Mechanic is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of all kitchen and laundry equipment within the
hotel’s restaurants and facilities. This role ensures operational
efficiency, safety, and compliance with standards while delivering
exceptional service to internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on commercial kitchen and
laundry equipment. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with ovens,
ranges, kettles, pressure cookers, hot food wells, proofers, and
other specialized equipment. Maintain and repair equipment from
brands such as Cospolich, Blodgett, Lang, Legion, and similar.
Replace and service steam and electrically heated kettles and
pressure systems. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize
downtime and extend equipment life. Ensure compliance with safety
standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate
records of repairs, parts used, and service schedules. Collaborate
with culinary and operations teams to minimize disruption during
repairs. Assist with commercial electrical system troubleshooting
and repairs as needed. Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Extensive hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical repair
of kitchen and laundry equipment. Proven expertise with commercial
cooking systems and steam/electric heating units. Technical
Knowledge: Familiarity with major kitchen equipment brands
(Cospolich, Blodgett, Lang, Legion). Strong understanding of
commercial electrical systems and safety protocols. Soft Skills:
Professional demeanor with polished communication skills. Ability
to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced
environment. Education: High school diploma or equivalent;
technical certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to
lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, humid environments. Comfortable
working around steam, heat, and electrical systems. Benefits
